Langley Design showcased its manufacturing capabilities on the Steelworks student accommodation project in Sheffield.
Project detail
Utilising the Langley and Sheldon ranges of products, the company combined the galvanised and powder-coated steel frames to include recycled plastic slats. The black slats against the grey metalwork give a really modern look and feel to the development, the curved benches sit up against the landscaping which protects the plants from student footfall.
Seats were also produced for the students to rest against, alongside some picnic tables which are being utilised as outdoor desks across the site.
Recycled plastic is a very durable material as it won't split or rot. It will last the lifetime of the project with little to no maintenance.
