Straight off the back of the hugely popular, award-winning ‘Big Rig’, Fresh Air Fitness has expanded its product portfolio for 2023 with the launch of the brand new Children’s Fitness Rig.
Priced at just £5000, this super space-saving frame gets primary school children moving from an early age. With a big focus on fun, it comes with 5 unique exercise stations. Each station is carefully selected to boost a child’s physical and cognitive abilities as well as building confidence, teamwork and communication skills – all whilst feeling like you are playing!
Perfect for up to 6 children to use at a time, the Children’s Fitness Rig offers challenging and fun exercise activities for all abilities so every child can get involved.

Air Skier - fun piece of cardio equipment to get the body warm and heart pumping
Inclusive arm bike - brilliant for building hand-eye coordination and can also be used by wheelchair users
Available to primary schools nationwide
Having successfully trialled a prototype in a primary school in 2022, and following glowing feedback from PE teachers and Headteachers alike, Fresh Air Fitness is now incredibly excited to be able to supply and install the Children’s Rig into primary schools nationwide.
With a range of surfacing options available, your Children’s Fitness Rig can be used all year round during break times, PE lessons or after school clubs. It makes the playground look exciting and creates new and innovative ways to get the whole school moving.
Grant Simmons, Specialist Primary PE Teacher Ravenscote Junior School, said: "The climbing rig installed by Fresh Air fitness is a fantastic addition to our outdoor gym. The children love the options for climbing, swinging and performing upper body exercises. The exercise stations on the corners provide a great variety of exercise options for upper, lower and core exercises. This is our most popular piece and allows for up to 6 pupils to at a time."
End-to-end service
At Fresh Air Fitness we have been designing, manufacturing and installing our Children’s KS1 & 2 range of outdoor gym equipment for schools since 2013, so we are very experienced in ensuring that every step of the process from design, manufacture, delivery and installation to aftercare flows seamlessly.
You have a dedicated point of contact on our team throughout and, as part of the process, we carry out a site inspection to understand your precise needs. At the site inspection, we are able to provide advice from finding the right location and space, right through to recommending a range of surfacing and tips on the positioning of your ‘Rig’ – maybe next to a playground, running track or making great use of an otherwise unused area of land in the school grounds.
Once you have chosen the right location for your school, we manufacture, deliver and install your Children’s Fitness Rig on a date that suits you – whether during term time or holidays – and we provide a raft of videos and a free app to support with the safe and effective use of our equipment.
Despite the Children’s Fitness Rig having a very low maintenance requirement and a 25-year warranty, a maintenance pack is provided upon completion for extra peace of mind. If you need spares, our UK warehouse offers a convenient and speedy delivery service.
