This temporary installation of bespoke seating and planters into one of the UK’s busiest high streets is the result of detailed design development by Urban Street Furniture's engineering team in Warwick.
Project detail
USF supported the client's design team with its conceptual designs, then used 3D CAD software to engineer working models, from which fully-detailed manufacturing and assembly drawings were developed.
Using standard project management techniques with full client drawing approvals, sampling and site inspections, USF manufactured 212 units of varying sizes and specifications over a 16-week period.
Outcome
The resulting bespoke planter and seat units for Oxford Street were delivered in custom sets and installed by USF's installation team as part of Westminster City Council’s post-COVID urban development plan to encourage visitors back after lockdown.
