Design
Ustigate works throughout the world designing award-winning water features for major projects. Its design team liaises with architects and designers to advise on the aesthetic, hydraulic and mechanical aspects of water features. An M&E drawing is provided illustrating the waterproof membrane details, lighting and service connections, along with fully co-ordinated CAD drawings, equipment schedules and specifications. Advice is also given on structural requirements and interfaces with other trades.
Build
Ustigate’s on-site team consists of project managers, design and service engineers, and multi-skilled installers that are dedicated to providing a high specification finish on time and on budget. Multi-skilled installers have the capacity to install water features of every shape and size, plus pipework, pumps, mechanical fixings and control systems.
Ustigate has installed hundreds of water features and understands what it takes to closely manage and install these to the tightest tolerances, even in the most challenging of sites.
Maintenance
Ustigate's dedicated team of multi-skilled engineers provide specialist services to maintain water features, along with an office-based support team. The company provides training for clients' staff that operate the water features daily. Maintenance packages tailored to requirement are also available, incorporating commissioning, decommissioning, call-outs and services. Its staff are trained and equipped with all the specialist equipment and PPE to provide specialist services and deep cleaning.
Research and development
Ustigate recognises the value and importance of research and development behind each design by creating working mock-ups at its purpose-built testing facility in Gravesend, Kent. This process can be full-size part-sections capable of demonstrating different water flows and effects against alternative finishes to identify the reactive relationship between the water and stone work. The mock-ups are then used to experiment with a variety of water effects and illuminations to maximise the desired effects and arrive at the best end result. Its testing facility allows clients to prove and shape their definitive design.
