Entrance canopies and external street furniture for school

Challenge

Broxap was tasked with suppling a full external works package to complement the modern aesthetics and practical needs of Green Ridge Primary Academy in Aylesbury, one of two purpose-built schools which aim to meet community demand for increased school admissions.

Solution

Broxap worked closely with the client to deliver quality timber and steel street furniture, as well as contemporary yet timeless shelters and entrance canopies. Though the external works provide a visually-appealing extension to the new building, certain elements are also able to act as external classroom space and / or social areas.

Broxap designed, manufactured and installed a variety of products spanning its street furniture range, allowing the business to showcase an exceptional skill set, as well as providing a one-stop-shop for the client.

In addition to the shelters, seating and bollards, Broxap also installed the BX45 2800 Westleigh timber slatted litter bin. This product combines practical and visual elements, creating a premium-quality litter bin. With a 75-litre capacity, the Westleigh has a front-opening lockable door which ensures ease of emptying for maintenance staff.

The litter bin, includes five FSC® (FSC-C122338) timber slats which are coated in a triple Danish Oil to help preserve the finish. This somewhat cost-effective bin adds a high-end look to any area, as well as adding a touch of nature to even the most urban spaces.

The steel elements of this bin are polyester powder-coated in RAL 7016, Anthracite Grey.
