Broxap Street Furniture’s enhanced laser-cutting capacity was utilised by contractors working on a high-profile improvement programme in the London Borough of Newham.
As part of a programme of external works, contractor F M Conway approached Broxap to manufacture two bespoke laser-cut litter bins.
Project detail
The bins are based on Broxap's Derby contemporary litter bin design and feature a range of laser-cut detailing. This includes the Newham London logo with white and pink backing plate; laser-cut border slots; and a series of laser-cut butterflies in different sizes with yellow and blue backing plates.
The 120-litre galvanised steel litter bins are powder-coated black and also feature a pyramid lid with self-closing ashtray.
Laser-cut lettering beneath the four apertures informs users that litter and dog waste can be deposited.
The bins have been installed in Earlham Grove where the nearby Forest Gate Station forms part of the new Elizabeth Line, which is expected to serve up to 200 million people each year.
Other improvements in the area delivered by F M Conway include wider pavements, tree planting and traffic calming measures.
