Overview

Langley Design worked with Sir Robert McAlpine to provide secure cycle parking for the new £42m Mathematical Science & Computer Science Building at Durham University, a state-of-the-art building covering an area of approximately 9,100m2.

Langley's Sheldon cycle shelter (SCS309) was specified by Oobe Landscape Architects to provide fully-enclosed secure bike storage.

Work undertaken

Manufactured in Langley's production facility in the Cotswolds using structurally-graded Class 4 treated Redwood and galvanised and powder-coated steel legs, the shelter looks aesthetically-pleasing and offers a long-lasting solution, giving students peace of mind that their bikes are stored in a safe and dry place.

Structures come with full structural calculations and wind and snow loadings.
