Challenge

Langley Design was approached by GMI Construction with a requirement for budget-friendly and space-efficient cycle storage at Booths Park, a new 2-storey building outside Knustford providing 70,676 sq. ft of office space. The new facility offers a spacious and communal working environment including a central amphitheatre.

Solution

The company manufactured its Sheldon SCS315 cycle shelter using structurally-graded treated class 4 Redwood and galvanised steel leg columns, which provided a durable and long-lasting whilst aesthetically-pleasing final product. Finished with an R32 profiled metal roof, which is available in a variety of colours to complement the project's colour scheme, and a single gate with Langley's standard slider locking mechanism, this fully-enclosed unit provides a safe and secure storage space for the office users cycles.

Malford MCR206 two-tier cycle racks were installed inside the cycle shelter. A space-saving storage solution, this system allows bikes to be secured double-stacked, reducing the overall footprint required for the cycle store.
