Overview

Langley Design worked with Willmott Dixon on the £11m Harvest View Social Care & Health Centre in the West Midlands. The new facility will provide much-needed support to local residents and offers on-site specialist support from health and social care staff.

Langley was approached to provide the project's external furniture including seating, planters and a bespoke pergola.

Work undertaken

The company manufactured and installed a number of Sheldon seats (SST300) made with treated class 4 Redwood and galvanised steel legs to provide formal seating for both residents and visitors.

Sheldon SPL316 planters with integral benching were also provided, offering additional casual seating to the scheme's landscaped external spaces.

Langley's bespoke manufacturing capabilities enabled it to produce a striking feature pergola sitting prominently in the new courtyard area. The addition of tensile wires to the pergola top allows climbing plants to grow around the structure, adding a touch of colour to the area whilst also offering some shading during the summer.
