Face-to-face seating encourages people to socialise
Langley Design worked with Bowmer + Kirkland to create bespoke high-quality, modern and stylish external seating for Adair Street in Manchester.
Work undertaken
Langley designed seating elements to meet the brief, and the finished products were exactly as required.
A new flat-leg seat design was created with a modern twist on a traditional armrest. Iroko timber was chosen for the backrests and seating slats due to is quality, while all metal elements were galvanised and powder-coated to give it extra superiority.
The client was really keen to incorporate both benching and seating elements that provided enough spaces for passers-by to rest, eat and socialise. The bench/seat combination was provided at various lengths.
The finishing touch was to engrave the 'CAPITAL & CENTRIC' logo into the top slat to let everybody know who the seats belong to.
