Raaft® Terrace System is an engineering solution that enables roof terraces to be built using a flexible series of components which includes raised platforms, decking or tiled surfaces, and flexible planter and furniture collections.

  • Class A fire-rated sturdy base

  • Raised anti-slip decking, tiling and artificial grass surfacing options

  • Planter systems with or without bench seating

  • Furniture collections comprising benches, tables and stools

Raaft® experts provide guidance through every step of creating terrace spaces.

The modular terrace system is constructed in three steps.

Step 1 - Building a good base

A good-quality support structure is key to creating a sturdy and safe terraced area. As roofs are rarely flat or level - the adjustable Raaft® system provides a solution.

Support structure systems

  • Adjustable pedestals

  • Fire-rated pedestals

  • Joists

  • Floor structure panels

Step 2 - Choosing the surface

  • Terrafina composite decking

  • Farrino® fire-rated porcelain decking

  • Atria® porcelain tiles

Step 3 - Add planters and furniture

Raaft® terraces can be transformed into a garden with layers of interest and a feeling of permanence by adding planters and furniture.

  • Curved, angular and straight planter walls with bench seating options

  • Table, bench and stool collections designed for rooftops and terraces

Benefits

Design freedom

Wide choice of surfacing, planter systems and roof top furniture.

Quick to install

Raaft® support structures are quick and easy to install without the need for specialist tools. Clips hold the surfaces in place and can be quickly removed to allow for access and maintenance.

Non-combustible

Farrino® porcelain decking and fire-rated pedestals and joists (all core components in the fire-rated system) through to the planters, are all made from Class A fire-rated materials.

Anti-slip

Atria® and Farrino create a safe, non-slip terrace with a slip resistance of R11 when tested to DIN 51130 (the Ramp Test) and Class 3 when tested to UNE-ENV 12633: 2003 (the Pendulum Test).

Distributed loading

The Raaft® terrace system mitigates localised weight loading by using a framework of load-bearing joists and support pedestals.

The modular extruded aluminium system uses interlocking joists and bracing struts to create a strong yet lightweight platform.
