Althon supplied several precast concrete headwalls as part of the Arbroath Flood Prevention Scheme. The images show the SP15J headwall and, either side of the channel, AH12CB LH and RH precast concrete headwalls, plus smaller AH4CB LH and RH headwalls.

The scheme is designed to reduce the risk of flooding from the Brothock Water, which runs through the coastal town, and provide a one-in-200-year standard of protection. The scheme is focused on holding back water flow in the catchment above Arbroath and then reduce flow in Brothock Water, protecting parts of the town that have suffered previous flooding and still remain at risk.
