Project detail
New-build housing developments in the UK are incorporating balancing ponds, also known as attenuation ponds, into estates which form part of the sustainable drainage (SuDS). Althon precast concrete headwalls can often be found at the end of the pipelines in these balancing ponds.
A balancing pond is designed to control the amount of excess water entering the drainage system to help prevent future flooding.
