Sculpture designed to look like a roll of duct tape
A range of URBASTYLE products, including picnic tables, benches and slabs with photoluminescent glow stone aggregates, dominate Groenewijk Park, Bruges.
In consultation with local residents, this neighbourhood park was redesigned by the City of Bruges to create more space for playground equipment and street furniture. It also became clear that the children often play with the step, therefore a step track was worked out.
Products supplied
URBASTYLE produced Fino red coloured slabs with photoluminescent glow stone aggregates for the track where, at the end of one of the side branches, a Fino concrete 3m-high roll of duct tape was installed so that it looks as if the course has been rolled out.
For the course, a small square was created and street furniture such as a picnic table and benches were installed. The top of the street furniture has the Fino finish to ensure an easily maintained surface, while the sides are Visia.
