Overview

Play equipment designed and supplied by Proludic for a new play area in Wallyford, East Lothian near the local primary school and is proving to be a very popular attraction with local children.

The project is the result of a collaboration between Proludic and East Lothian Council as installers.

Products supplied

The play area has a wide range of playground equipment designed for use by pre-school children through to teenagers. The final design was chosen by the pupils of Wallyford Primary School following a consultation.

From a previously underutilised piece of land, the new play space boasts eleven new items of play equipment that can accommodate more than 100 children at any one time. Additionally, it offers 150 play values for children to interact with. The client brief was for the space to include inclusive play equipment and 9 pieces of equipment were included specifically for physical, cognitive and sensory impairments.

At this destination park, the central tree house is a large beacon that entices children and gives them a sense of discovery.

Proludic was able to include some new innovative products for the first time in Scotland, like the new Ka’Yop climbing unit and the cantilever swing.
