- 6x6m Cicogna 150 canopy shelter
Project
Michael Jones, Estates Manager at Highdown School in Reading, contacted Zenith Canopy Structures in September 2021 to purchase another canopy for his school. Zenith had already installed two 8x8m Airone Max 175 structures in 2008 and 2009 respectively. This time, Michael required Zenith to replace an existing sail canopy (provided by another manufacturer) with a structure that would sit in front of their 6th form catering pod.
Ian Manners of Zenith, who carried out the site survey, quoted for a 6x6m Airone Tipo 150 or a 6x6m Cicogna 150. After consideration, Michael selected the Cicogna 150 with an RAL 7035 light grey frame and an RAL 3000 red canopy.
The canopy was installed in early December 2021 and fits perfectly in front of the catering pod.
Outcome
Michael Jones was delighted with the end result and said "it is a perfect replacement to protect our students from inclement weather as it can now be used all year round."
Product
The Cicogna 150 is available in standard modular sizes from 3x3m up to 7x7m or can be manufactured to specific sizes if required. The galvanised steel framework can be powder-coated in a choice of standard colours. The soft PVC canopies are also available in a variety of standard colours.
The Cicogna 175 is the larger profile version and can be manufactured in sizes from 7x7m up to 9x9m.
The structures meet wind and snow loads to UK Building Regulations.
