Challenge

Magna Academy in Poole approached NBB Outdoors with a requirement for a bespoke Winterbourne freestanding tiered shelter with guttering to cover its open courtyard area and provide all-year-round shelter for students during break times.

Solution

The finished structure measures 20.5 x 13.6m and features a UV-stabilised 16mm triple wall polycarbonate roof to help fill the area beneath with light. The steel structure has been galvanised and powder-coated in Signal White RAL9003 to complement the surrounding aesthetic. This treatment guarantees the shelter to be maintenance-free for 15 years, with a service life of 25 years.
