Challenge

Benchmark was contacted by United Living to supply a number of stainless steel benches for a new large communal garden to give residents at Sparrow Farm Drive in Feltham somewhere comfortable to congregate.

The development is a key regeneration project to increase the number of affordable homes and community space in the London Borough of Hounslow and comprises of socially rented family homes for local people.

The large communal garden was a crucial part of the development as a key ambition was to help create a sense of community and emphasise healthy, environmentally-friendly living.

Solution

Benchmark redesigned its most cost-effective seat - the Baseline BL003 - changing the design to keep material costs down while maintaining its contemporary look and robust nature.

The new BL003 seat in 316 stainless steel offers exceptional value along with longevity, and will become a staple in the Baseline street furniture range.
