Requirement

There was a need to resurface the car park and entrance leading up to Hampton Manor, a 19th-century country house 15 miles outside Birmingham. The improvement works required that any external works should be complementary to the existing architecture.

The client specified that they wanted both a sympathetic and durable aesthetic finish for the car park, which needed to have a warmer appearance in order to make the listed building more pleasing on the approach.

Solution

NatraTex Cotswold® was selected as the ideal choice to meet the project requirements. NatraTex Cotswold® is the flagship product of the NatraTex range, and combines the key ingredients from the company's other hard landscaping products to form a durable, fully-bonded, buff coloured natural aggregate wearing course. It is an asphalt surface course, with the characteristics of a conventional macadam; installed at the same depth and same sub layers (base and binder course).

NatraTex Cotswold was the preferred choice for its cost-effectiveness, minimal maintenance and quick installation.

Outcome

NatraTex was well received, with the client later remarking “NatraTex Cotswold® achieved the desired look”.
