Initially, ASF's MaxPave paving infill tree grilles were specified for this project in the Wirral. However, as the design progressed it was decided that a bespoke steel and timber tree grille should be incorporated into the design.

ASF worked with the client and architect to develop a system that meshes together a standard and bespoke product in a near invisible manner, yet still allows the whole system to be removed in sections should the tree root need accessing.

Some of the guards were also supplied with tree rings that acted as outer perimeters for raised beds around the tree.
