Kettering Science Academy is a new school in the Ise Lodge area of Kettering. The new building accommodates 1100 pupils from Years 7 to 11, with a further 250 sixth-form students and was the sample scheme for the Northamptonshire County Council academies programme. Langley Design were chosen by Willmott Dixon on this £27.5 million project to manufacture and install a large steel, clear span, cycle shelter and a bespoke Z shaped canopy which acts as a covered walkway between two buildings. We were chosen due to our flexible approach to manufacture where we were able to accommodate the complicated falls, shapes and existing site constraints with ease. By not offering a standard solution every time, we can adapt and overcome any problems customers have by taking the time to review and understand project needs.
