Interpretation and orientation signs for playing fields
As part of a £5 million investment by London Borough of Barnet for Silkstream and Montrose Playing Fields, Fitzpatrick Woolmer manufactured a series of interpretation and orientation lecterns to a bespoke design, to help visitors make the most of the park improvements
Following a £5 million investment by London Borough of Barnet, Silkstream and Montrose Playing Fields have seen major improvements including new play areas, trim trails and flood alleviation schemes.
Requirements
To help visitors make the most of the improvements, a series of interpretation and orientation lecterns were installed throughout the parks to promote exercise and activity as a means of maintaining mental wellbeing.
Solution
Signs were produced by Fitzpatrick Woolmer to a bespoke design. Stainless steel lecterns are based on the company's popular Chelmer range and include full colour n-viro™ prints with a 10-year fade-resistant guarantee.
Other features included rail mounting lecterns fixed to a newly installed viewing platform, which explain the function of the flood alleviation area, and single-leg Musketeer™ lecterns that reflect on the heritage of the site.
