Bespoke curved timber and granite seating - Halkin Arcade, London
Woodscape was chosen for a project at Halkin Arcade due to its experience in the design and manufacture of bespoke seating. A secluded courtyard, shared by residents and restaurant patrons, is located on top of an underground car park, so the project required a mix of custom seating, vent covers and canopy supports

Woodscape was chosen for a project at Halkin Arcade due to its experience in the design and manufacture of bespoke seating. A secluded courtyard, shared by residents and restaurant patrons, is located on top of an underground car park, so the project required a mix of custom seating, vent covers and canopy supports (outside the retail locations).
Work undertaken
The custom seating slopes and curves in several axis at once, and the interface between the hardwood and granite base had to be perfect.
Due to the complexity, each seating slat was individually computer modelled and produced on a CNC. Woodscape worked with the contractor on the installation.
