Omos provided bespoke concrete seating in conjunction with its Portuguese partner AMOP for the redevelopment of Athlone town centre. The scheme also features Omos litter bins, bollards, cycle stands and tree planters

Project
The redevelopment of Athlone town centre was completed in 2019. The scheme was designed by Nicholas de Jong Associates and constructed by John Cradock Ltd. It involved the redevelopment and remodelling of Church Street in the town centre, from Custume Place to Dublin Gate Street, and the adjoining streets and public areas: Northgate Street, Bridge Street, Griffith Street, The Bawn and Civic Offices.
Solution
A large element of this project involved bespoke concrete seating. In co-operation with its Portuguese partner AMOP, Omos developed Nicholas do Jong’s designs and produced made-to-measure units to a high quality-finish thanks to the advanced mould-making and casting facilities in Águeda, Portugal.
