The Estates Dept was embarking on a landscaping project adjacent to the refectory, with the introduction of green areas where students could gather and enjoy alfresco dining
The Estates Department at Bath Spa University embarked upon a landscaping project adjacent to the refectory. Being a well-used area of the University a resilient but sympathetic approach was needed.
Solution
Benchmark Design supplied benches from its Shoreline street furniture range. The SL007 curved benches can be made to any radius and length. They are manufactured using a stainless steel framework with FSC iroko timber slats. This subtle pallet of materials blend in well with the other landscaping elements and provides an attractive finish.
Outcome
The introduction of green areas, including tree planting and seating, has given the area a much-needed facelift, and provides students with a place to gather and enjoy alfresco dining.
