Bespoke curved iroko wall seat
Branson Leisure visited a site in Chigwell and made a template of a curved wall, which required seating to be added. 32mm-thick iroko was used to make the slats and each piece was individually cut to follow the irregular shape and maintain the 12mm gap between each slat. The slats varied from 95mm at the widest point to 40mm at the most narrow
Branson Leisure visited a site in Chigwell and made a template of a curved wall, which required seating to be added.
32mm-thick iroko was used to make the slats and each piece was individually cut to follow the irregular shape and maintain the 12mm gap between each slat. The slats varied from 95mm at the widest point to 40mm at the most narrow.
Once all slats had been cut to follow the shape perfectly, they were finished off with a heavy 12mm round to front edge for comfort.
Branson Leisure then constructed a subframe, also made from iroko, to fix all the slats together in a total of seven panels.
All slats were oiled using Owatrol Textrol HES, rustic oak colour.
The company returned to the site and installed the seven panels on top of the brick/rendered wall, keeping a perfect 12mm gap between all slats and a 25mm overhang from edge of wall.
