Context

Informative interpretation displays were commissioned by Thurrock Council to lead visitors on a journey of discovery throughout the park and grounds of Coalhouse Fort, an historic artillery fort in Essex.

Work undertaken

Fitzpatrick Woolmer provided a start-to-finish service which included the production of detailed re-enactment illustrations, bringing to life the history of the Fort and making the interpretation accessible to all levels of understanding.

The creative team produced engaging interpretation displays, adhering to previously developed brand guidelines, to ensure consistency with the new scheme and previously installed interpretation within the Fort.

Graphics were presented as n-viro™ printed panels, offering a 10-year guarantee against fading, housed in robust, stainless steel Musketeer™ lecterns.

Installation required a very sensitive approach due to the protected nature of the park and included the removal of existing signs that were a little worse for wear, creating a fresh interpretive experience for all visitors.
