Buzon UK was specified to supply and install adjustable pedestals to support The Outdoor Deck Company's high-grade FSC Ipe timber decking on the roof terrace at 100 Bishopsgate to create an attractive relaxing space.
100 Bishopsgate is part of a mixed-use commercial development by Brookfield Multiplex and Architects Allies & Morrison. The 40-storey tower is anchored by five contigious podium floors and will provide an area of 944,800 sqft.
The design elements of this 190m2 project included the decking area, platform, ramp and steps. For the install, the decking was fixed to aluminium panels using Buzon ALUrail - an aluminium component system supported by Buzon BC adjustable pedestals.
The installation was built in sections to accommodate the requirement for it to have the functionality to be removed by crane and reinstated to enable access to emergency back-up generators.
This was a mixed tenure project that also required the planter and lawn garden to be installed on pedestals.
The rooftop relaxation space blends the tones of the natural Ipe timber decking with the contrasting green landscaping areas.
