Project details
Motcomb Street has recently benefited from significant public realm improvements, including pedestrianisation, and IOTA’s planters formed part of these works. The planters were commissioned by Scotscape Landscaping for the Grosvenor Estate, and were designed by IOTA in accordance with a greening strategy by landscape architects BDP.
A total of 45 planters were fabricated from 3.0mm aluminium, with a polyester owder coat finish to RAL 7002 (Umbra grey). The planters were manufactured to an IOTA standard design, but also included a plinth detail (to create a 50 x 50mm shadow gap), plus adjustable feet.
