- Sixty X-Large tree guards; 300m of deer fencing
Context
Paddock Fencing was approached by Boughton House to work with two project requirements for this historic estate near Kettering. The company was asked to provide tree guards for the protection of a new avenue of lime trees, as well as 300m of deer fencing.
Project details
-
Tree guards
Paddock fencing supplied 60 of its metal tree guards for the protection of a new avenue of lime trees on the estate. The tree guards provided protection against deer whilst being low maintenance and in keeping with the traditional appearance of the estate.
In total, 60 X-Large circular tree guards were supplied with a height of 2000mm and a diameter of 760mm. Each guard has four stakes for support and has a galvanised finish.

Deer fencing
Paddock Fencing was asked to replace existing deer netting at the front of Boughton House with deer estate fencing. At total of 300m of deer fencing was supplied and installed, using a design that was both functional and aesthetically suitable for the surrounding landscape and views.
The deer fencing was installed at a height of 2m above ground with nine horizontal rails made up of 20mm round bar tops. Beneath the round bar top are eight horizontal flat bars of 25 x 8mm steel. The whole fence has a galvanised finish to ensure it would last for many years.
The fencing was installed using a mini digger with post hole auger. Posts were then concreted in place for stability before horizontal rails were slotted into place.
