HVM Terra Shallow Blockers were installed behind the Primary Border Inspection Post’s traffic control to protect against attack.
These have been manufactured and tested with Shallow Mount Technology, successfully impact-tested to the International IWA 14 specification stopping a 7.2t vehicle travelling at 80kph (50mph). The test resulted in the vehicle being stopped with zero penetration.
As a foundation type B, with an embedment depth of only 300mm required (foundation depth 500mm, foundation type B), the shallow HVM blocker offers protection to sites where minimal foundation depths are available due to underground utilities and services.
