Interpretation lecterns for village heritage trail
Otford is a thriving village on the River Darent, nestling at the foot of the North Downs in South East England. Fitzpatrick Woolmer provided a total of 10 interpretation lecterns, installed at locations throughout the village, which link together to form a self-guiding trail that reveals the history and heritage of the village
Otford is a thriving village on the River Darent, nestling at the foot of the North Downs in South East England. At the village centre is a church, the village pond, two pubs, cafés and shops.
Otford Parish Council wanted to create a heritage trail and decided to use local artists to help create a visual story describing the history of the local buildings, characters and events.
Work undertaken
Fitzpatrick Woolmer provided a total of ten interpretation lecterns, installed at locations throughout the village, which link together to form a self-guiding trail that reveals the history and heritage of the village.
In order to maximise the project's budget, Fitzpatrick Woolmer supplied interpretation lecterns from its stainless steel Chelmer lectern range. These lecterns have a simple appearance and construction, but offer excellent levels of vandal resistance and durability.
n-viro™ printed panels are used to bring out the bright colours of the interpretation boards and offer a scratch-resistant finish that is resistant to flame and grafitti, and comes with a 10-year no-fading guarantee.
