ASF was approached to supply the ASF 5002 bollard with an internal heavy-duty steel core to make the bollards ram-raid resistant. This particular system, although not specifically crash-tested, has been used for the last decade or so by Morrisons supermarkets and has shown to be sufficient as storefront, petrol filling station and ATM protection bollards.

Further into the project it was highlighted that the players' entrance required the same bollards but they needed to be removable or fold down. Initially the standard ASF 652 trough bollard was considered, but even though this trough is a solid unit that has never failed in application in projects across the UK and beyond, the repeated drive-over by passenger-carrying coaches required some documentation to support the strength of the trough when folded down. 

ASF has a Boston version of the ASF 652 trough bollard that was developed for a site in the USA to meet H-20 loading standards - suitable for "large trucks" in the States the loading translates to a 32,000lbs axle loading - enough in the UK for coaches, HGVs and artics.

These Boston trough bollards were approved by site engineers and used to house the same bollard as the rest of the site.

Additionally, ASF was approached and asked to supply a ramp with flanges and handrailing for a disabled toilet on site. As the toilet was based in a portakabin, ASF produced a unit that was custom-built, but also modular so that it can be moved and/or adapted to fit another site.
