Context
Victoria Education Centre is a non-maintained, Ofsted Outstanding special school in Poole, Dorset offering specialised, high-quality education, therapy and care for young people aged 3-19. Its vision is to provide ‘a centre where successful learning and high levels of achievement prepare children and young adults for fulfilling future lives’.

NBB School Shelters was contacted by Victoria Education Centre regarding their Canopy Appeal, which was set up to raise funds for an 80m covered walkway between two buildings which desperately required shelter; students were currently open to the elements daily every time they used the walkway.
A Winterbourne freestanding walkway was chosen as the most suitable option, and the school opted for colour Green RAL6026 to fit in with the existing area.
Work was completed over the summer break and ready in time for the pupils returning, and the school could not be happier with the finished shelter.

Testimonial
“Thanks to some generous donations and the hard work of staff, volunteers and school friends in raising funds, we now have a covered walkway running from our main school buildings to Carmel House. The work was completed over the summer break and will enable our students to traverse the site in bad weather without getting wet. We couldn’t have done it without you, thank you.”
