Context

Sovereign Design Play Systems Ltd has installed its first bespoke indoor play area - the Rainforest Play Barn - at Matlock Farm Park in Derbyshire.

Work Undertaken

Andy McKay, Area Manager at Sovereign commented: “I was first asked if we could design and fit an indoor play area in a new purpose-built adventure play barn and was sent some architect's plans to work with. Hours of work and planning by Paul Jenkins in Design, and our Installations Manager Gary Bridge both on and off site, to name but two, started to bring the project to life. Further site meetings were had with the client, who asked for some changes to be made, and two or three revisions later, we were there.”

The company delivered a dynamic high-level indoor play structure which includes nets, climbers and slides.

The area also boasts a vibrant rainforest theme wetpour design that features an array of different animals.

Outcome

The new Rainforest Play Barn opened in December 2017 and has proved a popular new attraction. The children can enjoy a high-level adventure while parents can relax and look on from the adjoining restaurant facility.

The Sovereign team was thrilled to be involved in such an exciting project and that the outcome has been a huge success.

Feedback

Allan Finlay, Managing Director at Matlock Farm Park, states: “We have used Sovereign several times in the past and as we were very happy with their previous work, they were our favourite choice to design and supply the play equipment for our new Rainforest themed indoor play barn."

"We like to be a little pioneering at Matlock Farm Park and Sovereign took this on board to give us a unique indoor design. We changed our minds on the design several times and altered things mid construction, which was never any problem for Sovereign and they accommodated us wherever they could."

"The quality of their craftsmanship, materials and indeed their finished products are first class. We look forward to working with them again in the future.”
