DekorGrip Resin Bound surfacing at Mornington Crescent
A junction situated next to Mornington Crescent underground station in London was in need of a refurbishment after the surface surrounding the statue of Richard Cobden had become worn down and outdated. Many locals had campaigned for the upgrade due to its lack of safety and poor visual appearance.
Consisting mainly of paving slabs, the surface was becoming more unsafe due to eventual unevenness causing trip hazards. It was important that the surface be replaced with a safe and attractive solution.
Solution
A DekorGrip Resin Bound surfacing system was selected in Rich Havana to create an attractive finish that would complement the statue and its surrounding area.
Installation was carried out and completed around the statue and throughout Cobden Junction by one of DekorGrip’s skilled and approved installers.
Outcome
The finished surface has completely transformed the area, bringing a modern and attractive look to the junction. It now attracts many visitors every day, with people using it as a place to sit and relax - a stark contrast to before installation.
