Surfacing for new leisure complex and cinema development
Over 1000m2 of BBA approved Terrabound resin bound porous surfacing in an Autumn Toffee blend has been installed at a prestigious new leisure development in Bournemouth. It provides a smooth, decorative, porous walkway for access to the new amenities that will stand up to the demands of pedestrian traffic in this busy area
Addagrip approved contractor, Limegate Specialist Surfacing, was appointed by main contractor Vinci Construction to install over 1000m2 of BBA approved Terrabound resin bound porous surfacing for a prestigious new leisure development in Bournemouth.
The new development on Bournemouth’s former bus station site in Exeter Road includes a new 2000-seat Odeon cinema and restaurants adjacent to the city’s seafront park.
Bournemouth Borough Council was looking for a hard-wearing, low-maintenance system that would provide a decorative pedestrian walkway to link the new leisure facilities with the park leading from the seafront to the city centre.
Product supplied
Addagrip was approached by the Council in 2015 regarding the surfacing element for this new scheme. It was already familiar with Terrabound resin bound porous surfacing having chosen the product for Hengistbury Head Visitor Centre in 2013, and been pleased with the product’s performance at the busy visitor attraction.
