Large-scale Christmas baubles raise funds for charity
Livingreen created seven large-scale Christmas baubles for the Glasgow cancer charity Beatson. These have been placed in shopping centres within the Glasgow area in order to raise funds over the Christmas period. The stand have a slot in the side for coins and for leaving wishes. Livingreen created seven large-scale Christmas baubles for the Glasgow cancer charity Beatson. These have been placed in shopping centres within the Glasgow area in order to raise funds over the Christmas period. The stand have a slot in the side for coins and for leaving wishes.
The designs for the baubles were created by some well-known Scottish celebrities, including KT Tunstall and Lorraine Kelly. The drawings were given to Livingreen who then had the job of transforming the drawings into 3D reality.
Work undertaken
The baubles and stands were created from GRP using large moulds and then either hand painted or decorated with vinyls to recreate the original drawings. The baubles were 1.2m diameter and the stands 800cm high which resulted in an overall size of 2.5m once the topper was in position.
They have been positioned in shopping centres for the month of December and into January for people to take selfies and donate money for cancer relief.
