Work undertaken
A range of cost-effective and lightweight tapered planters was designed for the location.
The planters are made from advanced fibreglass composite material creating an ultra strong, smooth finish.
The runs of planters were designed with a high degree of tolerance to take into account the slight variations in floor levels, and have a lip detail at the bottom to accommodate LED lighting strips.
They are coloured in a matte grey RAL 7047 to provide the corporate look that the client requested.
The scheme also included planters with built-in seating made from locally sourced Scottish larch.
Outcome
The planters fit the design brief and are lightweight enough for the the area. They were planted up with a range of resilient mixed plants, suited to the exposed site.
