Challenge

Forty Hall and Estate is one of England's finest notable houses, set in an idyllic landscape in Enfield. The estate grounds consist of a walled garden, formal and informal gardens, lakes, lawns and meadows. Inside the grounds is the site of the previous Tudor Elsyng Palace. With a permanent exhibition, guided tours and seasonal events Forty Hall caters for the whole family.

Signage was required to help visitors to explore the site.

Solution

Through competitive tender Fitzpatrick Woolmer was successfully appointed to produce signage, interpretation and wayfinding for Forty Hall.

The project required the company's full service offering from design through to manufacture in metal and wood, site surveys and installation.

The project included interactive features to encourage families to explore the wider landscape, with stainless steel interpretive lecterns and orientation displays to aid navigation and tell the history of this heritage attraction.

Fitzpatrick Woolmer's install team undertook site surveys, preparing risk assessments and method statements prior to installation to ensure a safe conclusion to the project.
