Bespoke stainless steel planter - Cotswold Motor Group
IOTA was commissioned to produce a series of bespoke steel planters for the Cotswold Motor Group new-build destination dealership in Cheltenham.
Combining BMW, MINI and Motorrad brands into a single flagship location it is the largest BMW retail centre in Europe, and to aid in the landscaping and parking facilities, IOTA designed and manufactured a range of multi-functional planters.
A total of 28 planters were provided, all measuring 2460mm (l) x 600mm (w) x 400mm (h). 18 of the planters were manufactured from 3mm thick 316-grade stainless steel and brush-finished whilst the remaining 10 were manufactured from 3mm thick Zintec steel and were finished with a polyester powder coat in RAL 9016 (Traffic White).
Designed with functionality as well as aesthetics in mind, the planters provide much needed space division on the forecourt. IOTA designed an integrated elevated central span to give a minimal solution whilst allowing them to be movable via a pallet or forklift truck. This ‘hidden’ style marries the architectural design of the new-build showroom and the external landscaping.
