IOTA were commissioned by Michael Laird Architects to produce three tree planters for the refurbishment of One Lochrin Square in Edinburgh. One Lochrin square supplies 64,000 square feet of Grade A office space to the Scottish capital. The planters were installed by Michael Laird Architects who completed the refurbishment.

The large tree planters (1000mm x 1000mm x H1200) in length were fabricated by IOTA in 2mm thick zintec steel finished with RAL 9005 polyester powder coating (Jet Black). Of a suitable size for tree planting they were all fitted with internal reservoirs and attachment points for a rootball anchoring system.

For ease of movement the base of each planter included 95mm runners which allows a forklift or pallet truck to lift them.
