Context
Tubs Hill House is a prominent gateway building in Sevenoaks, Kent. The original 1960’s building was comprised of two rather tired nine storey office blocks that were badly in need of refurbishment.
An £11 million project was undertaken to revitalise the building and create 95 luxury flats and apartments. The scheme also included a contemporary hotel-style foyer with concierge offices, a private business suite and associated parking.
The site required a high-quality, decorative surfacing feature for the central courtyard area.
Work undertaken
Addagrip approved contractor Total Protection GB Ltd was appointed by the Kingston Landscape Group to carry out an intricate circular surfacing design for the development's courtyard. The eye-catching, organic design required two contrasting colours of BBA approved Addaset resin bound porous surfacing created with the help of a formable edge.
A total area of 111m2 of Addaset was installed using 3mm Lucerne Silver and 3mm Dorset Gold blends, laid at a depth of 12mm to provide a low maintenance pedestrian surface.
Outcome
The Kingston Landscape Group was delighted with the finished result.
“We are over the moon with the surfacing. Nice design executed perfectly by Total Protection Ltd. They do a really good job. There’s never anything to complain about with Addagrip, and our clients always love the result."
