The Rose and Poppy Gates were designed and made by Harry Gray to form the West entrance to Twickenham Rugby Stadium.
There are 15 roses on each gate, modelled on those worn by the Grand Slam-winning England team of 1914. The poppies at the top of each gate are formed from German shell casings fired in anger during World War I.
The hand-modelled bronze roses, which gradually transform into poppies, represent the transformation of rugby players into soldiers.
