The redevelopment of the Elliott’s Field Shopping Park in Rugby, Warwickshire includes 12 new retail units, 2 new cafes, improvements to car parking facilities, and new co-ordinated street furniture.

Solution

The architect approached Bailey Streetscene to provide a range of street furniture products that worked well together and reflected the overall scheme. Streetscene offered a variety of options and after deliberation the chosen products were: Holgate bench, Forma planter (newly designed for this project), Sheffield cycle stand, and Heron cycle shelter.

Outcome

Bailey Streetscene has helped to play its part in creating an attractive new retail destination where people want to visit and enjoy spending time both in shops and in the areas outside.

Hammerson’s development manager Tom Cochrane said he was pleased they had realised their “vision of creating a retail destination that puts Rugby back on the map with a new and exciting shopping experience that offers a varied mix of shops and restaurants.”
