Challenge
Wildernesse Golf Club near Sevenoaks is a private club set in an area of outstanding natural beauty. Founded in 1890, it is one of the oldest golf courses in Kent.
The existing asphalt at the front entrance of the Club House was looking a little tired and in need of renovating with a surfacing material that was more in keeping with the heritage of the club. The aim was to achieve a natural aggregate look without the maintenance issues of loose gravel and to provide a low-maintenance, durable surface to suit the location.
Solution
376sqm of Addaset resin bound porous surfacing was installed by Addagrip approved contractor True Grip Ltd. A 6mm Chocolate Buff blend was used at the front of the Club House providing a welcoming approach. The installation was completed in two halves so that constant access was maintained for members and visitors, ensuring minimum disruption.
Outcome
The club now has a hard-wearing, low-maintenance surface that is decorative and in keeping with the rural location and heritage of the club. Smooth underfoot, the product has the advantage of being porous and can be power washed to keep it looking as good as new.
Addaset resin bound porous surfacing is BBA approved - an industry mark of excellence.
