Addagrip supplied Terrabound resin bound porous surfacing in a 10mm Trent aggregate blend for a tree pit scheme on the busy junction of Station Road and Elm Grove in Harrow, Middlesex. The installation was carried out by Addagrip approved contractor Resin & Rock at short notice.

The client required a hard wearing, decorative surface with no loose aggregate that would be porous enough for the existing mature trees but strong enough for pedestrian flows and installation of new street furniture.

Terrabound resin bound porous surfacing was specified and, to ensure maximum porosity, the main contractor was asked to install a porous asphalt base onto which Resin & Rock installed the bound surface.

Traffic at this busy site had to be well managed and installation was carried out as quickly as possible to minimise disruption.

The finished paving, together with the new street furniture, brightens up the junction providing a surface that is low maintenance and easy to clean.
