CORMAC commissioned Addagrip approved contractor ClearPave Surfacing Ltd to install over 1100sqm of BBA approved Terrabound resin bound porous surfacing to the new Barrowfields pedestrian and cycle path along Newquay's clifftop in Cornwall.

The 2.5m wide pathway, forms part of the Council’s wider proposals for the Newquay Cycle Network. It provides spectacular views across the bay and offers better access to Barrowfields for cyclists, walkers, and anyone using pushchairs, wheelchairs and mobility scooters.

The client was looking for a decorative, natural aggregate finish to the asphalt pathway that would be hard wearing, comfortable underfoot, non-slip and resistant to the elements.

Terrabound resin bound surfacing in a 6mm Trent was selected providing a low maintenance surface that is attractive and in keeping with the rural surroundings. The porosity of the product will ensure the pathway is water free and accessible all year round.

The project was completed  by over a 3 day period in May 2016.
