Sportsmark installed new County Concrete bowling green ditch and bank units, an area of artificial grass, and new tarmac paths at Springhouse Bowls Club in Thurrock.

This formed part of an ongoing project to refurbish all the bowling greens in Thurrock, and to bring their ditches/banks up to the legal height.

Sportsmark's County Concrete ditch and bank units ensure that the bank height is legal, and also feature a unique angled return face.

The upright face of the bank was covered with a high-quality 15mm twisted tuft artificial grass, which wraps over the top. A 0.5m strip of green around the edge was levelled and turfed with bowling green quality turf.

The area behind the banks was made good, in some areas with more artificial grass, and new tarmac paths were laid, completing the job.
