Bound surfacing for footpaths complements new homes

Sheffield homes use NatraTex Cotswold for footpath
Bellway Homes' Bluecoats housing development in Sheffield used Bituchem’s specialist NatraTex Cotswold® bound surfacing for the footpaths.
Selection and application
NatraTex Cotswold® bound surfacing was chosen due to its ability to withstand continuous pedestrian usage without impacting on the appearance of the natural stone. The surfacing complements the natural stone finish of the houses, while standing out from the surrounding tarmac roadways.
Over 700m² of the product in 6mm buff was applied to the footpaths for the Bluecoats estate.
The material is particularly effective for such applications as it can be used to complement or contrast with the surrounding landscape, including modern rural developments which are increasingly using natural Cotswold stone for the houses and surrounding areas.
